Is WSOL worth the same as SOL?
Yes, always exactly one for one. WSOL is a wrapper around real SOL held in your own token account, not a separate coin with its own price.
When would I need to wrap SOL?
Some liquidity pools, trading programs and launch tools expect SOL in token form. Most wallets wrap automatically during a swap, so you usually only need this when a tool asks for WSOL directly.
Where did the WSOL in my wallet come from?
Usually from a swap or a pool withdrawal that paid out wrapped SOL and never unwrapped it. It can sit in the wallet looking like a separate token until you convert it back.
Can I unwrap only some of it?
Unwrapping closes the WSOL account, so the whole balance comes back at once, along with its deposit. Wrap the amount you still need again afterwards.
What does a conversion cost?
