How do I create a Solana token with no code?
Connect a Phantom or Solflare wallet, enter the token name, symbol, supply and decimals, and upload a logo. Egret assembles the mint, the associated token account and the Metaplex metadata into transactions for you, and your wallet signs them. The only thing you do by hand is approve the signature - there is no Rust, no CLI and no contract to deploy.
How much SOL do I need to create a token?
The base fee is 0.1 SOL and covers the mint, the on-chain Metaplex metadata and decentralised storage for your logo. Mint network costs are included. Keep a small amount of SOL above your selected service total for the payment-transaction fee shown by your wallet. Each optional add-on is 0.1 SOL - creator and social info, any of the three authority revokes, or minting your logo as a 1/1 NFT - so with all five enabled the total is 0.6 SOL. Decide which you want and add 0.1 SOL for each before you start.
Is my token live on mainnet immediately after creation?
Yes. The token exists the moment the creation transaction confirms, which on Solana is normally a second or two. You get a mint address straight away, and pasting it into Solscan or SolanaFM will show the supply, decimals and metadata already in place. Being live is not the same as being tradeable, though - nobody can buy it until you create a liquidity pool.
Can I change my token's name or logo after creating it?
Only while update authority is still yours. If you have kept it, you can submit a metadata update from the wallet that holds it and change the name, symbol, description or image. If you revoked update authority - either during creation or afterwards - the metadata is locked permanently and no one, including us, can alter it. That permanence is the point of revoking it, so get the details right first.
