What you get when you create a Solana token here
A standard SPL token on Solana mainnet that you own outright. The form above creates the mint account, writes the name, symbol, description and logo as Metaplex metadata, and sends the full supply to your wallet. Your wallet signs. We never hold your keys or your tokens.
When it confirms you get the mint address. Paste it into Solscan and you will see the supply, decimals, logo and authorities straight away. Phantom, Solflare and Backpack show it in your wallet like any other token.
How to create a Solana token in four steps
- Fill in the details. Name (up to 32 characters), symbol (up to 10), a short description and a square logo. These are what wallets and explorers show.
- Set supply and decimals. Most tokens use 9 decimals, the same as SOL. Supply is fixed at whatever you enter unless you keep mint authority.
- Choose your add-ons. Social links, revoking mint, freeze and update authority, and minting your logo as a 1/1 NFT are 0.1 SOL each. Revoking mint and freeze authority is what buyers and rug checkers look for first.
- Connect your wallet and sign. One approval in Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. The token is live a second or two later.

What it costs
0.1 SOL for the token itself. That includes the network rent and creation gas, so there is nothing extra to budget for. Each add-on is 0.1 SOL on top, and a fully locked token with social links is 0.5 SOL. The only other charge is your wallet's own fee for the payment transaction, a fraction of a cent. Standard SPL token or tax token?
Pick standard unless you need a fee on every transfer. Standard SPL tokens work everywhere on Solana, including Raydium, Jupiter and every wallet. A tax token uses the Token-2022 program to take a percentage of each transfer. Some apps and pools still handle Token-2022 less well.
After you create your token
