How it works

How to Add Liquidity to a Solana Token

Adding liquidity on Raydium creates a live trading market for your token. By pairing your token with SOL, you establish an initial price and enable swaps. This tool builds and signs the required on-chain transaction directly from your wallet.

What happens after

  • Your token becomes tradeable on Raydium immediately.
  • You receive LP tokens representing your pool share.
  • Raydium charges 0.25% on each swap - paid by traders.
  • Remove liquidity at any time from the Raydium UI.

Starting price formula

Token Price ≈ SOL Amount ÷ Token Amount

For example: depositing 10 SOL with 1,000,000,000 tokens gives an initial price of 0.00000001 SOL per token.

Removing liquidity exposes you to impermanent loss if prices move significantly from your entry ratio.

FAQ

Liquidity Pool FAQ

What is a liquidity pool?
A liquidity pool is a smart contract that holds two assets - in this case your token and SOL - allowing anyone to trade against the pool without a traditional order book. The price adjusts automatically based on supply and demand.
How much SOL should I add?
Typical launches use 5–20 SOL. More liquidity means less price slippage for traders, which usually attracts more volume. A higher SOL amount also signals confidence to potential buyers.
How is the starting price set?
Your token's initial price is the ratio of SOL to tokens: Price ≈ SOL Amount ÷ Token Amount. For example, 10 SOL + 1 billion tokens = 0.00000001 SOL per token. Choose amounts that reflect your intended market cap.
Can I remove liquidity later?
Yes. You receive LP tokens when you create the pool. Redeem them on Raydium at any time to withdraw your proportional share of both assets. Be aware of impermanent loss if the price ratio changes significantly.
Does this deploy a custom smart contract?
No. This tool uses Raydium's existing AMM program on Solana. No new contract is deployed - your pool is a standard Raydium CPMM pool.
Why do I need to connect my wallet first?
The transaction is signed in your wallet - we never hold or move your SOL. Connecting your wallet first lets us check your balance and pre-fill your wallet address, so the transaction is built correctly before you approve it.
What is the 0.25% Raydium fee?
Raydium charges traders 0.25% on every swap in your pool. You don't pay this upfront - it's charged to whoever is swapping, and a portion is distributed to liquidity providers (you) as passive income.
